↓ Whim: Honda U3-X Personal Mobility Concept
Honda is a well known car & motorbike manufacturer and also a synonym of innovation…. Honda Dream, solar panels, Honda Jet, ASIMO…. (we’re big fans here). Well they’ve just unveiled a new experimental personal mobility device that fits between the rider’s legs & provides 360 degree movement.
This little miracle uses ASIMO technologies, more specifically it also benefits from Honda’s balance control technology (which enables ASIMO to stand, walk & run). For the U3-X it detects a shift in the rider’s body weight to adjust the direction and speed of the device (similar to Segway maybe?)
The U3-X also uses technologies from Honda’s omni-directional driving wheel system (HOT Drive System) which enables movement in all directions, here’s a demonstrative video…
