You all probably remember Banksy’s latest 4 graffiti appeared a few days ago by Candem Town (Regents Canal) and we all went “uh-oh, he’s done it again”, praised him and so much blablabla… but he just broke one of those golden rules in street-art…
The thing is that Banksy decided to spread “his magic messages” painting over one of Robbo’s graffiti; and who is “Robbo” you may ask? Well, for those of us who didn’t know (boohoo 4 us) Robbo is apparently still considered a myth amongst UK’s street-artists (he pioneered in the 80s London scene). That’s why he didn’t take very good Bansy’s “insult” and decided to make a quick come-back, repaint his name “King Robbo” with silver capital letters and laugh back at Banksy’s house painter.
We all love Banksy (admit it) but sometimes he’s too “witty” when choosing his locations and many times he gets a taste of his own medicine. Other artists like Sigma, “Threeonerl”, “DOZE WRH” think this can’t be good for UK’s graffiti scene.

Banksy's "remake"
Apparently the relationship between Banksy & Robbo started wrong when they first met……… in the 2009 book “London Handstyles”, there is a story from Robbo: ‘I was out one night with a load of old writers and got introduced to Banksy. He asked what I wrote and I told him, he cockily replied ”never heard of you” so I slapped him and said, ”you may not of heard of me but you will never forget me”.
Seems like Banksy hasn’t forgot him.
