↓ Image: Chrome ads invade the UK
You’ve already seen Google’s Chrome ads haven’t you? But Google’s biggest ad campaign for one of their products is getting maybe (just maybe) a bit too aggressive & even ridiculous. We took this photo yesterday (with our Nexus 1 btw) @ Oxford Circus Tube in London (Bakerloo Line)…. the whole platform covered by Google….
Nothing new about Goog advertising with Microsoft’s style (the bigger… the better!!) but this is no Windows 7 …. (yet), are they crazy or just preparing the product awareness & image for a future explosive campaign when the actual Chrome OS will launch?
Chrome ad in Bristol
These ads started appearing right before Christmas (sometimes in remote places) but if you live in the UK and walk by any park, train or bus station (public places) you can’t just miss them unless you close your eyes.
We wouldn’t normally dedicate a post to these ads… but you have to admit it’s quite impressive seeing how serious Google takes the browser war and demonstrates once again they have the muscle & resources to make look Window’s latest campaigns cheap.
Imagine… a whole underground platform … 22 ads in a single platform… the thousands of ads all over London (the enormous amount of money they must be spending for a several week campaign!!!!) and obviously…. all those millions of Brits asking themselves… is it really that fast? is it really for everyone??
