↓ Site: The stranger from the tube
Marie Dinkle (this is just a pseudonym as she prefers to rest anonymous) interviews & photographs everyday someone different in the Parisian underground… those strangers you don’t even dare to look at many times.
“You ask yourself who’s the stranger sitting in front of you. You’ll never see them again. It’s the underground stranger“. Marie is a 25 y.o. Parisian (well, “banlieusard”… from the Parisian suburbs) whose blog has become extremely popular in France over the past two months (unfortunately it’s in French…).
She interviews those strangers she sits in front of, for around 6 minutes. Takes a pic and off to the next one. Not many are willing to be portrayed but most have no problem in sharing their lives with this complete stranger.
Students, musicians, retired rich people, journalists, electricians, kids… all sorts, all kinds each one deserves a post.
Why did Marie decided to go and talk to these strangers? “I’m a bit curious, other people’s destiny has always attracted me more than Brad Pitt’s private life”. She is no journalist or photographer, in fact Marie is trying to pass a test for working in the local government. Common transports are “a very rich observation & rambling path”, therefore one day she had the idea of creating this blog where sometimes we discover tiny secrets from those travelling strangers.
Admit it! We’re all morbid creatures…
Stéphanie is learning Chinese cozz she's moving there!
