By & for world citizens from the “Diaspora generation”. The outsider’s perspective from left-centre-right, and occasional a full-frontal view.
None of us lives in their home country, which gives us a very personal & objective opinion of the world we live in and in particular of our adoptive cities…. Paris, Istanbul, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Johannesburg, Bristol… have become some of our new “homes”, and many more will come.
We started aqnb as a way to talk about all those subjects we enjoy, worry and care about. Topics that fascinate, obsess and even scare the hell out of us… professional killers, arts, candy sex, politics, 0 star hotels, technology, steampunk, advertising, graffiti…. Anything we find interesting & you may propose.
Oh and btw, we all truly believe in free culture activism.

Don Tercio
¡Mueve el caballo hostia, no puedo apuntar! But the obstinate beast wouldn’t move, not that it mattered anymore, the battle was already lost and I had run out of powder. Leaving my precious harquebus behind I started running for my life as no pikemen, no duke, no nothing would defend me if I stood there in the middle of my disorganized & agitated Tercio. I was just an ordinary soldier born in the wrong period and our once unbeatable formation was now a mere grotesque caricature of the glorious past.
Something cold went through my stomach…. then I woke up with an icy sweat as if I had been battling for the past five centuries…..
….. a soldier?!? Funny huh?
Sarkar Hayaat Khan
I was born, not promised to any fate, entirely responsible for my own existence in spite of the weight of my fellows’ condition.
You have been looking for me everywhere someone could be, you have been looking for me in the shadows of praying places, seeking the wisest among the wise, glimpsing my eyes through my voile. This was misunderstanding for you, for you who though women were not seeking those things.
I am in the Kings’ Persia, in the eternal India, in all empires ever but everywhere else too, as a woman, scary and elusive creature, sometimes weak as much as you though I was easy to dominate, strong when you couldn’t be so anymore.
I am somewhere between East and West, I am a real product of the modern world…

A London based native artist once said to me in very endearing words “… your energy resembles that of a princess.” To which I replied that I might have been either a concubine from the Hans Dynasty or, as of a more recent account, a royal reincarnation from the lineage of the Ottoman Empire.
Whichever stature that I exude, I was born in Singapore, lived in Istanbul and presently based in London.
This is a tripartite agreement between me and the former Spanish warrior that we would collaborate in our endeavors, regardless of historical disputes. Here we toast to the superfuture while we bask in our present glories.
